Training and Capacity Building in Public Health in Emergencies in Assam

eDoctors For You – NERO in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is conducting its training programs through its capacity building in public health in emergencies in Assam. The module was modified keeping in mind the category of training participants, their level of perception and capabilities to cope up disasters and emergencies.

aPublic Health in Emergencies is designed to provide extensive knowledge and information to public health workers like ANM, ASHA supervisors, Officials of PHED, MPWs and Doctors of Health Department on various public health issues that requires urgent attention during emergencies. Some of the topics that are covered under this module are basic disaster terminologies, rapid need assessment, priceofcialis.com basics of public health and response , WASH and Diarrheal Disease control, safe drinking water and drinking water supply in Emergencies, public health promotion, malnutrition in emergencies and special measures for vulnerable people. As of now the districts in which DFY – NERO has organized its training programs are in Dhubri, Bongaigaon, Goalpara, Kokrajhar, Tinsukia, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Dima Hasao and Karbi Anglong.
